New Addition!

Sean's wondering what is going on! And getting into trouble while Mom's away!

But he already adores him! Look at him sign "baby!"

This is my all time favorite picture! Look at how concentrated Sean is on his new little brother!

Most of you know, we had our baby last Friday. It was pretty traumatic. I went in to be induced and little Jake's heart rate kept dipping pretty low w/ the pitocin. I finally was able to push around 4:30. His heart rate continued to dip dramatically low, making no progress, and the Dr. saw bright red blood that he admitted he had no idea where it was coming from. He thought it might be the placenta so advised us to do emergency csection, which we did! I was traumatized but at least Jake is here and healthy. He weighed 9lb and 5oz (four oz bigger than Sean!) and 20 inches (1 inch shorter).
He is very calm so far. It's pretty remarkable. Mike and I keep saying we don't remember this newborn stage but it's because Sean did exactly what Jacob is doing (sleeping and eating) but with hours of crying in between:) Sean is such a good big brother. He absolutely adores Jake. He laughs and tickles him. He says, "Wake up" (in his own way of course) when I try to keep Jake awake to nurse! It's adorable. He really loves to help change Jake's diaper and hands me the wipes! It's so stinkin' cute. We feel so blessed. I love our family. Mike is such a wonderful dad. He adores his kids and is so good to me. LOVE HIM!
Thanks everyone for helping too. We have so many wonderful friends and family. We love you so much!

Traumatic CSection (don't I look lovely!)

SOOO adorable! I'm glad everyone is happy and healthy. Sounds like you hit the big brother jack-pot! Hopefully it stays that way. Call me if you ever need a break, someone to hold the baby so you can give Sean some attention or vise versa.

These pictures are such treasures. I love the wonder in all of your eyes, especially Sean's. Isn't it hilarious how toddlers like to poke babies, like they're making sure they're real or something. I'm so glad little Jake is here safe. It sounds like it was pretty scary.
